Itinerary
Begin your journey from Guwahati and drive through scenic valleys to reach Dirang. Check into a cozy homestay and enjoy the calmness of the mountains.
Visit Dirang Dzong, a centuries-old fort village. Stroll through Monpa lanes, meet locals, and relish local cuisine. Evening by the riverside.
Drive through the iconic Sela Pass (13,700 ft) with snow views, frozen lakes, and prayer flags. Reach Tawang by evening and settle in.
Explore Tawang Monastery, Ani Gompa, and the craft centre. Understand the Buddhist monastic life and history.
Visit the Indo-China border at Bum La and then Sangetsar (Madhuri) Lake. A dramatic landscape and emotional experience.
Drive back toward Bomdila, with a stop at Jung Waterfalls. Share stories over dinner at a local stay.
